Its been a while……

Morning!

Feel I should apologise for having been away so long! Needless to say I have been soooooo busy with all you brides and race goers this season that I have hardly had time to turn round!! However I find myself  at an even more tricky time of year…..deciding what I am going to tempt you with for Spring Summer 2011! My ready to wear collection is already being sold into shops and I will get the images of all the gorgeous new creations up here a soon  as I can hands on them! Needless to say there are some absolute corkers! Lots of fab feathers and fabrics, real statement pieces!

My Couture collection is going to involve lots of jewels, crystals, beading, lace and tulle….a real vintage vibe for many fascinators just to flip it totally the other way, some strong colour combinations and structural shapes…so I had better get on with it! I have about 10 fascinators that I am almost finished with so will post sneaky peeks at these at some stage too!!

As much as I LOVE Lady Gaga, who else better to promote the wearing of every kind of conceivable headgear….I just wanted to assure my customers that I don’t intend to be adding any meat based products to the list of materials used…….Lady G……really?!!

Sparkling Bridal Headdresses

Having just got back from a trip to the Far East, I am so full of ideas at the moment I don’t know what to do next!! Having said that one direction I am sure to follow is to use some of the beautiful crystals and appliques I have found to create the most stunning bridal hair bands and headdress.

I have dabbled in this for a while but my ideas have taken on a whole new perspective and the sky’s the limit in terms of the styles and exquisite sparkle I plan to create!!

While these ideas are yet to be formed in reality…I am attaching a few of my current styles to give you something to be thinking about……who says it needs to be a bridal piece? Why not have something for a ball or the races or a night out with cocktails and the girls!!

The Bird Cage Veil Fascinator

Lily Allen- Wearing a bird cage fascinator

Most people are coming round to the idea of a fascinator these days, the catwalks are full of them, street fashion has the die hard fashionistas wearing them on a daily basis! Its all about confidence!

Many people wear these fabulous veiling, feather, flower covered creations everyday,  there is nothing like having a fantastic fascinator to finish off an outfit to make you feel a million dollars. You will find that you walk taller, sit more elegantly and hold your head high!

Why not start with a simple birdcage style veil fascinator, this look is always so elegant? Veiling is so popular right now and bang on trend with so many looks. The birdcage veil can be customised in so many ways, why not have it  made from different kinds of veiling or delicate tulle, vintage style veiling with chenille spots or by adding sequins, crystals, feathers and flowers to create a timeless and chic look which is also so easy and comfortable to wear!

Also a firm favourite for brides, this look can  be made to compliment any style of dress and create the mood for your special day. Why not have the veiling covered in Swarovski crystals, or add a jewelled flower or clip?  The possibilities are endless.

Below we see Drew Barrymore wearing a Bridal style birdcage fascinator, Emma Bunton wearing a birdcage style veil called Paris from the Beth Morgan Couture Collections and the ‘Paris’ shown in more detail in the third picture.
