Hayley Westenra In a Beth Morgan Poppy fascinator for the Royal British Legion 2010 Appeal
Afternoon all!
Just wanted to draw your attention to this rather lovely bit of news!
Earlier this week I was asked to create a poppy based fascinator for the lovely Hayley Westenra to wear at the launch of the Royal British Legions ’We Will Remember Them’, album at the Imperial war Museum. Not only does Hayley look amazing in the above mentioned hat, but what a fantastic project too.
Ms Westenra said: “It is an album of remembrance with readings of the best and most beautiful poems and news readings set to well-chosen classical music.
“It was a real honour to be asked to be involved with this because I’m normally a singer. To be able to do a reading was a really great experience.
“It is for the 90th anniversary of the Poppy Appeal and the Royal British Legion are trying to raise £90m, which is a mighty goal indeed.”
Other celebrities who feature on the album include Joanna Lumley, Stephen Fry and Dame Vera Lynn.
The album is available from October 18th.
